Italian pharmacist Luigi Pellegrini has been awarded the Gusi Peace Prize 2014 for Innovation and Health. The award, presented on 26 November 2014 in Manila, in the Philippines, is one of Asia’s most important. It is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves in the promotion of peace and respect for life and human dignity, through their efforts in the scientific, literary, political, journalism and cultural fields.
Pellegrini was selected for his work to improve living conditions and well-being throughout the world and for his innovative ideas combining pharmaceutical tradition with the new telemedicine technologies. Read more, in Italian.
