Biochemtex and Beta Renewables, both part of the Mossi & Ghisolfi Group, signed a contract with the Czech firm Energochemica SE for the supply of a 55,000 tonne-per-year bioethanol production plant in Strazke (Koice region), which will use the Poesa technologies developed by Beta Renewables. The contract covers engineering services and equipment supply. The enzymes used in the production process will be supplied by the Danish firm Novozymes, and yeasts by France’s Leaf Technologiers. Lignina, a bioethanol production by-product, will be used in a co-generation plant with the excess going to running the plant.
