The Farnesina has boosted its support for research centres, universities and polytechnic institutes seeking to develop internationally, thanks to its RISeT (science and technology information network) http://riset.esteri.it. The network allows access to information on research and innovation from a network of science attachés, embassies and consulates, Italian research associations abroad and international centres headquartered in Italy (ICGEB, ICTP, TWAS of Trieste and ICRANet of Pescara).
RISeT
Active since 2002 through a targeted mailing list managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the RISeT was recently reorganised and reconfigured on an ad hoc platform with the ExTender portal (http://extender.esteri.it), to encourage new possibilities for collaboration between industry and academia in order to better underpin Italian science and technology sectors.
Access both services is easy, just sign up on-line or, for those already registered with ExTender, activate a RISeT profile, indicating thematic and geographic areas of interest to receive personalised information on study and work opportunities, projects under way, international calls for tender and announcements of upcoming large-scale projects.
