Shanghai – 2015 the year of rebalanced trade

The year 2015 will be one to adjust the trade balance between Italy and China, which currently places the Asian giant well ahead of our country. This is the goal of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai for the year of the Milan EXPO. “All the components of our country system”, Italian Consul General Stefano Beltrame explained in a note, “will therefore be called upon to contribute to intensifying bilateral relations and sustaining robust efforts to boost exports”. The note mentions the Agenzia ICE for foreign trade, the Chamber of Commerce, a series of associations and individual firms as components involved along with the Consulate. The Consulate reports 2014 as a positive year, with 111,000 visas issued (up 12% over 2013), and cites an agreement between Ansaldo Energia and Shanghai Electric as “one of the main industrial investments”.
