Marseille – Women’s role in the Great War

Women and the Great War will be the focus of an event at the Italian Cultural Institute of Marseille (18:00) within the context of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the First World War. Women, who took over the jobs of the men who had gone to the front, and who also went to war in some ways themselves as Red Cross workers, porters, prostitutes, spies, envoys and intellectuals in favour of an against the war.
