An exhibition of works by Vlastimil Kosvanec (1887-1961) has opened in the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague. Kosvanec, one of the leading figures in 20th century Czech art, was recently re-discovered thanks to the intervention of Italian critics,collectors and cultural institutions who helped produce exhibitions of his work in the Museo Mediceo in Florence (2012) and in theCzech Centrein Milan (2014). The press conference introducing the initiative was opened by the Italian Ambassador in the Czech Republic, Aldo Amati, who underscored the central role played by inter-institutional cooperation in producing an event that testifies to the deep links between Italian and Czech culture.
