Australia: Perth footbridge contract awarded to Rizzani de Eccher
The contract for the design and construction of the Burswood footbridge, valued at 54 million Australian dollars (approx.. 40 million euro) was awarded to the joint venture between the Australian firm York and Italy’s Rizzani de Eccher. The 400-metre, 65-metre tall bridge will connect Perth’s Central Business District with a new football stadium now under construction in the Burswood area. Construction should begin within 2015 and be completed by the end of 2016.
