The Farnesina’s Legal Affairs Service is to sign a framework agreement with the Institute of Law, Politics and Development at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, headed by Andreas De Guttry. The agreement, which will be signed tomorrow 16 October 2015, is intended to intensify the Farnesina’s presence in the Italian academic world, in the legal field.
The opportunities opened up to the Foreign Ministry include free access to highly qualified experts in the principal legal fields of relevance to its work. The agreement will also entail the joint development of specialist activities including participation in national, European and international research programmes.
The collaboration will mainly involve humanitarian law, United Nations law, European Union law and the international protection of human rights.
