Farnesina – A meeting place for innovation and technology

Working even better together as a system to promote Italian excellence abroad in all its forms. That’s the goal of the meeting of science attachés taking place at the Farnesina on 13 October 2015. Taking part will be Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni and the Minister for Education, Universities and Research, Stefania Giannini, as well as 27 attachés, two of whom specialists in space issues. The research expert from our Permanent Mission in Brussels will also be attending. Heads of Italian research centres, university rectors (including the President of the Conference of Rectors) and representatives of private foundations will also attend, as will the research councillors of Trentino and Campania regions. Industry too will be represented, in the form of Confindustria, Assolombarda and a representative of a network of specialist research companies.

The Swiss Ambassador has also been invited, with a view to exploring how best to promote Swiss-Italian collaboration in the science field. Read more, in Italian.
