“Sustainable Restoration, Techniques and Methods in Italy and Mexico” is the title of a workshop to be held on 9 December at the Italian Cultural Institute of Mexico City. The event is intended to foreground the historic link between 15th century European Renaissance culture and the development/transformation of 17th century Mexican cities, with special attention to the historic association with L.B. Alberti. The workshop will place special attention on “sustainability” during the restoration and conservation of historic buildings and existing patrimony, and falls within the framework of the Year of Italy in Latin America.
