Berlin – The best of the Trentino’s fruit and vegetables at the Fruit Logistica

A promotional stand has been set up to advertise local companies and producers to German buyers. Italy’s Trentino Region is getting excellent feedback in terms of interest and business contacts at Berlin’s Fruit Logistica fresh produce trade show, which is scheduled to close today. Local producers are represented by the Apot, Melinda, La Trentina and Sant’Orsola cooperatives, grouped under the territorial trademarks: Trentino Sviluppo and Trentino Marketing. The Berlin trade show has offered the opportunity to promote a number of institutional and business meetings, starting with the visit paid to the Trentino stand on Feb. 3, by the Italian Ambassador in Berlin, Pietro Benassi, and the director of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) in Berlin, Fabio Casciotti. The regional stand covers an exhibit area of 235 square metres, also offering hospitality to enable guests to taste the excellent local food and wines and collect information on the region’s particular tourist and wildlife plan. “Fruit Logistica now represents the world’s most important event for the fruit and vegetable sector and the Trentino region participates in the show with its most internationally known companies in a space that attracts many visitors and that highlights the fact that we belong to the same territory,” said Michele Dallapiccola, Councillor for Agriculture, Tourism and Promotion of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
