Pakistan Trade and Investment Forum to take place in Rome on 5 April

Strengthening economic and industrial relations between Italy and Pakistan, illustrating opportunities the country offers and tools available to Italian businesses: these are the aims of the Pakistan Trade and Investment Forum that will take place on 5 April at the International Conference Room of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Forum is organised by the Farnesina, the Ministry for Economic Development – and ICE – Agency for the Promotion and Internationalisation of Italian Businesses – in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan in Italy, Confindustria and UNIDO ITPO Italy. Opening remarks will be made by Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, and the President of the Board of Investment of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Miftah Ismail, followed by Deputy Minister for Economic Development Ivan Scalfarotto. Concluding remarks will fall to Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Benedetto Della Vedova. Many sectors will be explored in-depth during the conference: infrastructure, agrofood, pharmaceuticals, energy, machinery for processing marble and ceramics, textiles and automotives.
