The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs plays a major role in promoting and defending Italian economic concerns. Large Italian industrial groups, and also SMEs, refer to the Farnesina [Italy’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry] when seeking support in the internationalisation phase of their enterprises. Nevertheless, the important work carried out by Italian diplomats is still not well known. The 50th programme, broadcast by Radio LUISS on Mar. 22 at 8 p.m. called “Diplomazia e dintorni” [Diplomacy and its Surroundings], will describe the activities of an Italian diplomat in charge of promoting economic and commercial relations in embassies.
What is meant by integrated promotion of Italy abroad? What is meant by National Brand? How can the economic system of the country be interpreted and how can Italian firms be supported abroad? These are only a few of the questions to be answered by Stefano Baldi, the anchor-man of the programme, and guest Cristiano Musillo, counsellor of the general directorate for the promotion of Italy’s cultural, economic and innovation system of the Foreign Affairs ministry.
