Japan – Italian startups showcased at Tokyo’s Innovation Day

The Italian Embassy in Tokyo hosted “Italian Innovation Day” to present Italian startups in innovation technology and related investment opportunities. Special guest at the event was the Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli, who delivered a passionate speech on the importance of pursuing the impossible. With an interesting lecture on the importance of being enterprising in all sectors, Nespoli succeeded to interest each and every one of the participants. The programme went on with nine recently-founded companies that presented themselves to an audience of around a hundred participants including would-be investors, potential partners, trading companies and company representatives. Nespoli’s contribution was particularly appreciated. He was in Japan for a training session at the Japanese JAXA space agency in Tsukuba, in connection with his mission on board the International Space Station next year.
