Albania – Two Italian professors hold workshop on high energy physics

On 26-27 September the Department of Physics and the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Tirana will host the second international workshop on the latest developments in high energy physics achieved thanks to the LHC particle accelerator. The workshop is organized by Professors Giuseppe Iaselli and Nicola De Filippis of the Polytechnic of Bari and by the Bari Section of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics in partnership with the University of Tirana, with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Tirana. A notice posted by the IIC states: “The workshop aims to unite scholars and researchers of high energy physics and astrophysicists to debate the latest experimental results of the Large Hadron Collider at the CERN in Geneva and the latest astrophysical measurements. The workshop will be attended by experts from the CERN, the Laboratoire Leprince-Ringuet of Paris, the University of Split and by the members of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Tirana”. The workshop aims to enhance the synergy between the Albanian and international scientific communities and is particularly addressed to students of the Departments of Physics and Engineering.
