CIDU opens a public online consultation on the National Action Plan on Businesses and Human Rights

The Inter-Ministerial Committee for Human Rights (CIDU) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has recently published on its Website –  www.cidu.esteri.it – the preliminary National Action Plan on Businesses and Human Rights.

The Plan is the outcome of a broad consultation campaign promoted by CIDU among institutional bodies, business representatives, civil society organizations, trade unions and sectorial experts.

The Plan implements the commitments made following the adoption by the United Nations Human Rights Council of the “Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights” http://www.ohchr.org/Documents/Publications/GuidingPrinciplesBusinessHR_EN.pdf.

The public consultation is open until 10 September. Eventual comments by involved stakeholders will have to be submitted with the deadline at the following e-mail address:
dgap.cidu-bhr@esteri.it

All contributions will be published on the CIDU’s website.
