Russian Federation: Italian companies and ICE at Saloni WorldWide in Moscow

The 12th international Fair ‘Saloni WorldWide Moscow’, the key-event in the field of home furnishing for the Russian market and its neighbouring countries, opened today at Crocus Expo. The fair, organized by Federlegno Arredo Eventi together with ICE,  will run until 15 October with a view to consolidating the excellent results achieved in 2015. That year, it was visited by 38,000 specialised operators coming from Moscow and other Russian regions, as well as businessmen from other countries. As disclosed in an official communique,  the 2016 Fair will showcase 300 enterprises, of which 230 are Italian. The Fair is being done in conjunction with MADE expo WorldWide fair, an event dedicated to interior design and  accessories.
The new economic outlook of the Russian Federation, which has become a difficult market for Italian companies historically active in the territory, is showing signs of recovery: in the first seven months of 2016, Italy was once again ranked  the  second largest provider for home furnishing products of the Russian Federation and the country’s number one provider in the high-end segment. ” ‘Saloni WorldWide Moscow’ is proof to ICE’s firm commitment to pay attention to every aspect and change taking place in a constantly evolving market that has never stopped showing its great appreciation for Italian quality products, with a special focus on innovation and avant-garde materials,” said Pier Paolo Celeste, director of ICE office in Moscow.
“Participating in this event again means we have gained the full confidence of Russian consumers and of those pertaining to the Federation’s geopolitical area. It is an achievement which should be ascribed not only to the quality, technological innovation and project culture that characterize the fair, but also to our ability in establishing a direct link – a kind of “design with no borders”, where economies and political situations, as well as language barriers, become secondary, ” Roberto Snaidero, Chairman of Saloni WorldWide Moscow, pointed out.
