The Italy for Companies Roadshow – Udine hosts 43rd lap

The Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia is hosting the last stop of the ‘Italy for Companies Roadshow’ in 2016. Today more than 90 companies took part in an initiative held in Udine and promoted by the Situation Room to present the activities and instruments offered to support companies of Italy’s Economic System, both public and private, on foreign markets.

The event, introduced by Michele Bortolussi, the Assistant Vice President of Confindustria Udine, and by Lucio Chiarelli, the Central Deputy Director of Production Activities of the Regional Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia, confirmed the broad convergence on the issue of internationalisation among local businesses, which are traditionally open to expanding abroad and, through the crisis, have proven to be able to grasp opportunities also beyond the confines of Europe, targeting remote markets full of potential opportunities.

The technical session scheduled presentations on international scenarios by Prometeia Specialist and the provision of operational information by ICE-SACE-SIMEST, focusing on the national instruments to support internationalisation processes. The session was moderated by Veronica Ferrucci of the Foreign Ministry’s General Directorate for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation.

“It is a fact that opening to international markets is a decisive decision now more than ever in order to grow and acquire an increasingly competitive position,” said Veronica Ferrucci. She went on: “It is a process that must be pursued by considering the complexity – and often the unpredictability – of current geopolitical and economic scenarios but also keeping soundly in mind the opportunities offered by international markets; the Foreign Ministry offers the professional skills and capabilities to interpret these very complex scenarios, especially through the “intelligent” network of Embassies and Consulates around the world, which are capable of guiding and supporting companies through all the phases of the internationalisation process: from singling out business opportunities to making fruitful investments abroad.”
