Italian excellence at Sofia’s “Save the Planet” fair
The “Save the Planet” exhibition in Sofia has now arrived at its eighth edition. The event is a unique benchmark at a regional level in the sector of waste management and energy saving. This year’s fair will host a large delegation of Italian and international firms, which are among the most innovative in the field of waste management and energy efficiency. The 2017 edition is scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 March at Sofia’s Inter Expo Center. It will focus on the ‘circular economy’ and reutilisation of waste in agriculture. It will also represent an opportunity for professionals in the industry to exchange information on the latest trends, to meet European Union representatives and dignitaries of the Bulgarian government, and to promote trade opportunities. The event is support by ICE (the Italian Trade Agency), which will set up a stand for Italy and will take care of the organisation of a panel focusing on excellence in this sector. Italian firms participating will submit their activities and projects. The Italian entrepreneurs’ delegation will benefit from an important occasion to present Italian expertise in ‘Made in Italy’ production in the field of environmental protection. Italian companies have a wealth of knowledge and technical expertise in several sectors, including: the construction of anaerobic and composting plants for organic waste (Apiesse S.r.l.); planning of waste processing and subsequent usage for the production of vegetables in greenhouses with enhanced energy efficiency (Idro Group); renewable energy processing and production (Hydro Italia S.r.l.) or the recycling of non-utilisable tyres (CAF Scril). This is a concrete opportunity to disseminate information among operators in the sector and contribute to meeting the goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030, with the support of entrepreneurship in achieving environmental protection.
