Brazil: Ecorodovias (Gavio Group) wins major motorway licence
Ecorodovias, Brazil’s third motorway operator, which was acquired by the Gavio Group in 2016, won a major contract for a 30-year licence of the north section of the Rodoanel – a ring road around Sao Paulo. The section is approximately 50 kilometres long. The company was granted the concession after bidding 883 million reais (about 228 million euros). This is Ecorodovias’ first contract award since it won the Rio Niteroi bridge in March 2015.
