Italian Economic Diplomacy 24 April: latest global news

The Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and Confindustria, with the support of the Bank of China, are organising a mission for small and medium-sized enterprises to selected Chinese Provinces as part of the Italy-China Business Forum (BFIC). The mission will take place between 18 and 21 June in Dalian in the Liaoning Province and in Qingdao in the Shandong Province.

Dalian is a major coastal city, encompassing three economic development areas at country-wide level. Qingdao is the leading economic and industrial centre of Shandong, and an international port city. It has been selected as the starting point of the new Maritime Silk Road and therefore plays a strategic role in the development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The aim of the mission is to foster exchanges between companies in order to outline long-term strategic development lines and give fresh impetus to bilateral relations between Italy and China.

The mission will cover a number of different business sectors, focusing on the following areas: machinery (textile machines, tools, agricultural, packaging) green technology and clean energy, pharmaceutical and medical, boatbuilding and shipbuilding, furniture and fixtures.

Admission to the event is free and exclusively reserved to Italian manufacturing companies in the above-mentioned areas.
