Brazil – Enel recognised as best energy distribution company
Enel Distribuição Goiás was recognised as Brazil’s best energy distribution company for the second consecutive by the Associação Brasileira de Energia Elétrica (Abradee).
The Abradee award is attributed on the basis of the quality of service, corporate social and environmental responsibility, operational and economic and financial management and the ratings directly assigned by the customers. Enel Goiás is the Company that proved to have the best performance in all the indicators compared to the previous year.
The finalists in the Operational Management Category also included Enel Distribuição São Paulo, the energy distribution company that operates in the State of São Paulo that was purchased by the Enel Group in 2018.
From 2017, the year in which Enel assumed the control of the distribution company operating in the State of Goiás, Enel Goiás has invested nearly 3.5 times more than previously, when the company was State-controlled. Between 2017 and 2018, the Company in fact invested more than 1.5 billion Reais thanks to which it was possible to improve the quality certification indexes of the ANEEL, the National Electric Energy Agency. The level of quality of the electric service at March 2019 was the best ever in the company’s history.
