MAURITANIA. OPENING OF A NEW BRANCH OF SAIPEM
The Italian company SAIPEM is currently opening a branch in Nouakchott after having been awarded in January 2019 in consortium with the French company Eiffage, the EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contract for works on the marine infrastructure in the “Tortue-Ahmeyim” LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) hub and terminal granted by the Mauritanian and Senegalese governments to British Petroleum, for an estimated value of 350 million euros. The company announced the award of the contract in February 2019.
