The “Italy-Myanmar Business Association” launched in Yangon

The “Italy-Myanmar Business Association” was launched in Yangon during a networking event hosted by the Italian Ambassador, Ms. Alessandra Schiavo, with the attendance of members of the diplomatic community, local entrepreneurs and representatives of the chambers of commerce of other Countries. The new Business Association will support the Italy-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce based in Turin.

The Association, made up of members from both the Italian and Burmese business communities and professionals, has the purpose of strengthening relations between Italy and Myanmar, creating synergies and opportunities for economic and trade collaboration between the two countries.

Among the events scheduled in 2020, with the support of the Italian Embassy in Yangon, are a series of B2B meetings, in connection with the 2020 Italian Expo, a multi-sector trade show that will be held in Yangon on 8-10 October.
