On 3 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, held telephone talks with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.
The talks centred on the implementation of the 9/11 Trilateral Declaration and on Italy’s participation in the reconstruction effort in Azerbaijan. Other topics included the economic and energy relations between the two countries, ecological transition and Italy’s contribution to the future UNESCO mission in Nagorno Karabakh and surrounding areas.
