LATVIA – The company Verde Srl has been awarded a tender by the Municipality of Riga in the plant nursery sector.
Verde S.r.l., based in Sovico (Province of Monza and Brianza), has been awarded a contract for “Planting trees and tree infrastructure works in the green areas of the city of Riga”, under a public procurement scheme by the Environmental Department of the Riga Municipality. The project envisages the replanting of trees and shrubs throughout the Municipality and, specifically, the supply and planting of 154 trees in nine different areas of the capital, including the historic city centre. Over the years, it has been necessary to cut down a large number of trees for public safety reasons. This project, therefore, aims to remedy this situation, with a view to restoring the capital’s green heritage. The project has been allocated 85,872 euros and the works should be completed in 210 working days.
