UAE: the Maire Tecnimont group wins three important contracts in the petrochemical sector

This is an important new affirmation in the UAE for this Italian group, which has announced the signing by its subsidiary Tecnimont S.p.a. of three contracts for engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) works and services with Abu Dhabi Polymer Company-Borouge (a joint venture between the local oil company ADNOC and the Austrian Borealis) for the fourth expansion phase of the polyolefin complex at Ruwais (Borouge 4). With a total value of approximately USD 3.5 billion, this is the most significant project acquired in the entire MENA area for Maire Tecnimont.
The new contracts cover the entire implementation of the enlargement works and include all engineering services, the supply of equipment and materials, construction activities, testing, assistance and start-up. The award of the three contracts for the expansion of Borouge will produce important effects along the entire chain of Maire Tecnimont’s Italian suppliers and subcontractors, which will absorb approximately 40% of the value of the order.
