Italo-Turkish summit: Dassu’ in Istanbul

Deputy Foreign Minister Marta Dassù will meet in Istanbul today with Turkish Minister for European Affairs Egemen Bağis. The meeting will offer an opportunity to prepare the 3rd Italo-Turkish intergovernmental summit to be held in Istanbul on 17 January. Their talks will touch on principal European concerns, such as the enlargement process and EU-Turkish relations within the context of the profound changes under way in the Middle East and in the Arab world. They will also review the situation in Syria and Libya and the Cyprus question.


Deputy Minister Dassù will then meet with the Italian community in Istanbul and have a working meeting with Volkan Bozkir, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
