Foreign Minister Emma Bonino met the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of San Marino, Pasquale Valentini, at the Farnesina today, 27 January 2014. They discussed key bilateral issues, with Minister Bonino welcoming the steps made by San Marino to come fully into line with international standards of transparency in taxation and financial matters.
Minister Bonino also expressed her satisfaction on the re-introduction, in San Marino’s fiscal reform, of tax relief for the approximately 5,400 Italian cross-border workers.
The two foreign ministers also discussed economic cooperation, especially as regards the Science and Technology Park project; collaboration in the broadcasting sphere; and future collaboration on the Rimini-San Marino international airport.
