Ambassador Daniele Bosio has received every possible help from the Farnesina, especially through our Embassy in Manila, right from the moment of his arrest. Thanks to the prompt and continuing action by Embassy officials, the Philippine authorities have allowed him full visitor access, as well as certain special conditions.
Bosio has thus been able to meet his parents and relatives, friends, and Embassy officials, including the Italian Ambassador in Manila, Massimo Roscigno. The Embassy has been liaising closely with the family. A local legal practice has been engaged to assist Bosio, who has received all possible legal and institutional help for his defence, as would any Italian national detained abroad.
The Farnesina will continue to follow the case closely and carefully and will continue in its efforts to ensure that Ambassador Bosio’s rights are protected in full.
