Under-Sectretary Benedetto Della Vedova will be in Singapore for a presentation of the Italian EU Presidency programme organised by the European Union Centre and the Embassy of Italy, with the support of the Delegation of the European Union. He will then visit the Singapore Port Authority to explore infrastructure projects of interest Italy. On Tuesday the 29th, Della Vedova will meeting with Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu. His day will also include meetings with several financial and economic operators in Singapore on investment opportunities in Italy.
The Under-Secretary will be in Palau on Wednesday 30 July though Friday the 1st of August for meetings with insular Pacific nations aimed at encouraging their participation in EXPO Milano 2015, and at strengthening collaboration on climate change and within the United Nations. He will then attend the sessions of the 26th Post-Forum Dialogue, the partner group to the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF).
Della Vedova will be in Hong Kong from 2 to 4 August, where he is to meet with Trade and Economic Development Secretary Gregory So and Secretary for the Treasury and Financial Services KC Chan. He will also hold a meeting with local Italian business persons in Hong Kong
