The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is following the latest events in Libya with concern. The Farnesina has called for an immediate halt to the raids on Tripoli and to any other form of violence that could undermine the efforts of the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Libya, Bernardino Leon. Italy has reiterated its full support for the Envoy.
The Farnesina invites all parties involved in the clashes to enable a dialogue to be opened in Libya’s own interests.
