The Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova, is visiting Ho Chi Minh City, the economic and financial capital of Vietnam, at the head of a large Italian business delegation. Today, 25 November 2014, he and the Italian Ambassador in Vietnam, Lorenzo Angeloni, opened the new Consulate General of Italy. “The opening of our Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City reflects our determination to grasp export opportunities for Italian businesses in the south of Vietnam”.
Under-Secretary Della Vedova met the Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City, Le Thanh Liem, with whom he examined opportunities for collaboration between Italian and Vietnamese companies in various sectors. Lastly, he took the opportunity of this visit to speak to a gathering of the Italian and local business communities.
