Della Vedova mission to Prague

Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Benedetto Della Vedova will make a visit to Prague tomorrow.

Della Vedova’s agenda includes institutional meetings with Czech Secretary of State for European Affairs Tomáš Prouza and his counterparts from the foreign ministry charged with European, political and economic affairs. His meetings will centre on the Ukraine crisis, Libya, migration and European growth, as well as on strengthening trade and bilateral economic relations, which have been on a continual upswing over recent years.

In particular, the under-secretary will deliver the opening speech at a workshop entitled “Italy and Europe after the Italian EU Presidency. Economic prospects for the Czech Republic” at the Italian embassy in Prague, whose participants will include representatives of a large number of Italian and local firms along with the Czech Ministry of Economic Development and the presidents of the South Moravian and Moravian-Silesian Regions. Finally, Della Vedova will meet at the Italo-Czech Chamber of Commerce with representatives of the principal Italian firms operating in that country.
