Della Vedova on mission to Philippines and Singapore

Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Benedetto Della Vedova will complete a mission to the Philippines and Singapore from 17 to 20 March. He is scheduled to meet in Manila with numerous counterparts of the Philippine government with a view to reinforcing bilateral political dialogue and cooperation in various sectors as well as to promoting economic relations and trade development, where there is ample room for growth, while updating himself on developments in the legal situation of Italian national Daniele Bosio. The Under-Secretary will be leading a delegation of Italian business persons from the sector of agricultural machinery coordinated by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines and the UNACOMA trade association.

In Singapore, on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Italy, which is to be celebrated with a concert conducted by Uto Ughi with local authorities in attendance, Della Vedova will hold meetings with his counterparts in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Industry and Commerce,  and will lead an Italian Cleantech sector mission organized by the Agenzia ICE and Confindustria in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy. The under-secretary will also meet with the heads of A*STAR, Singapore’s science, technology and research agency, as well as of investment funds and with local investors. He will also speak at the 2015 Business Awards ceremony at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, in recognition of Italy’s largest investor in Singapore and Italian investors in that country.
