Four Italians abducted in the area of Mellitah

The Farnesina has announced that four Italian nationals have been abducted in Libya in the vicinity of the Mellitah Oil and Gas compound.

The four men are employees of the Bonatti construction firm.

The Crisis Unit began monitoring the case immediately and remains in continuous contact with the families of the four Italian national and the Bonatti company.

As is known, citing the country’s extremely precarious situation, following the closure of the Embassy of Italy in Libya on 15 February the Farnesina urged all Italian nationals to leave Libya.
