International Day of Persons with Disabilities

For the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation renews its pledge to promote the right of persons with disabilities to inclusion and non-discrimination in the workplace.

The MFAIC has formulated new guidelines for all its personnel containing indications for ensuring that the content published on the Farnesina portal are fully accessible, without discrimination, to persons with hearing and sight disabilities.

A convention is also being drawn up between the MFAIC and a sector association that will allow young persons with disabilities access to training internships at the Ministry.

Recently adopted measures are aimed at strengthening the capacity of humanitarian programmes to respond to the needs of persons with disabilities, along with an operational document outlining educational initiatives inclusive of persons with disabilities.
