Minister Alfano meets with the Vice Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Rep. Paul Cook

Italy intends to further strengthen bilateral relations with the United States through a wide range of activities, ranging from a common commitment in favour of political stability and security in many regional crises to the excellent and continuously growing level in the exchange of goods and services,” said Minister Alfano at the end of a meeting at the Farnesina with the Vice Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Representative Paul Cook.

Cook is on a mission in Europe to meet top European leaders, reaffirm the importance of NATO, and to further strengthen bilateral relations with several partner Countries. The topics addressed during their cordial and frank talks included support for NATO, the excellent bilateral relations and issues relative to European security. Rep. Cook (Republican) was accompanied by Republicans Mo BROOKS, Rob PITTENGER, Steve RUSSELL and Democrats Albio SIRES, Marcy KAPTUR and Adriano ESPAILLAT.
