Alfano meets his Liechtenstein counterpart

“We are delighted at the excellent level of bilateral relations based on shared fundamental values and hope that we can further improve relations in all areas. The entry into the Agreement in December 2016 for the exchange of information on tax matters between Italy and Liechtenstein, ensuring higher levels of efficiency and adequate transparency due to the surmounting of bank secrecy, also gives us great satisfaction.”

This was the statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, following a meeting with his Liechtenstein counterpart, Ms Aurelia Frick, at the Farnesina today. In addition to bilateral relations, they also discussed the migration issue, the future of the European Union, Brexit, and bilateral cooperation in the big International Organisations, especially the International Criminal Court and the OSCE, chaired by Italy this year.
