“The statements coming from North Korea on the suspension of nuclear tests and the launch of ballistic missiles and the closing of a site constitute a positive development and a step in the right direction,” said Minister Alfano, before departing for Toronto to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers Meeting. “I hope they will favour the success of the imminent summit meetings and contribute to the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Peninsula,” he added.
