The Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ivan Scalfarotto, participated in an ANIMA – the confederation of mechanics industries- public assembly highlighting that beauty and accuracy are essential components of Italian ingeniousness and Made in Italy production which, however, would not be complete without engineering, mechanics and innovative skills. The Undersecretary underlined the core of innovation and internationalisation as the main drivers of development in the manufacturing industries and stressed the difficulty of challenges emerging from the current global geopolitical context. Scalfarotto mentioned the need for the Government to promote “innovative solutions capable of improving the international competitivity of our companies”. Moreover, the Undersecretary recalled that the foreign trade offices will soon move from the Ministry of Economic Development to the Farnesina, thus mentioning a possible detaxation of know-how development activities regarding exports, and tax incentives for enterprises which aim to increase their exports.
