The Undersecretary appreciated the measures adopted to limit production activities and to protect the health of employees in the Canton of Ticino. He also expressed the hope that similar initiatives could also be extended to Graubünden, where many Italian frontier workers are still active.
Balzaretti confirmed that he was aware of this issue, which is currently being assessed by the Swiss authorities. In reaffirming the importance of the work of Italian frontier workers and their safety, the two government representatives finally shared the utmost attention of their respective executives concerning the protection of health at work in the two countries.
