Notice of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Transatlantic Conference Call on Emergency COVOD-19

COVID-19 emergency response, and the measures implemented to reopen the production activities, repatriate the compatriots stranded abroad, make availability medical supplies on the global market, develop a vaccine, manage the consequences of the crisis on trade and the global economy, support to the most at risk countries and fight against disinformation were among the main topics discussed in the teleconferences regularly held in recent weeks at the level of the Secretaries-General of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European External Action Service and NATO. The activity, coordinated by the United States, has allowed a constant exchange of information and good practice among allies on the emergency and has offered the possibility to identify mutual assistance and support measures, representing a further effective instrument of transatlantic cooperation to deal with the crisis.
