Deputy Minister Ivan Scalfarotto opens the webinar on industrial cooperation between Italy and Norway

This morning, Deputy Minister Ivan Scalfarotto opened the webinar organised by the Italian Embassy in Oslo and Leonardo SpA dedicated to industrial cooperation between Italy and Norway. The webinar was participated by representatives of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, major Italian enterprises Operating in Norway and the Norwegian business world.

“At a time when world trade is experiencing an enormous setback,” Mr. Scalfarotto began, “we need to support and promote collaboration between companies by exchanging best practices and virtual meetings in B2B format, like today’s event, for which I wish to thank Ambassador Alberto Colella and Leonardo SpA”.

The Deputy Minister continued by stressing how Italy and Norway are two strongly complementary economies, also observing that ” Norway’s economy relies on exports of a variety of raw commodities, energy, fish, metals, which are necessary for manufacturing-driven economies such as Italy’s. Moreover, the time-proven collaboration between our military industries and the Norwegian Government’s announcement of an increase in defence spending make this market even more attractive for Italian companies operating in the defence sector offering cutting-edge hi-tech products”.
