Hostage Giovanni Calí freed in Haiti

The Italian hostage Giovanni Cali’, abducted on 1 June while in Haiti, was released a short while ago. He had been taken from the building site where he worked by a local criminal gang. His release, after only 22 days, was secured by the relentless work of our intelligence system and of the Crisis Unit set up at the Foreign Ministry, which was in touch daily with family members in Sicily.
