The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni, will be part of the restricted delegation, led by Minister Luigi Di Maio, who will attend the high-level week of the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in New York, from 20 to 25 September.
The Vice Minister will attend the main events promoted by Italy within the framework of the United Nations’ proceedings, beginning with the high-level event chaired by Minister Di Maio with a focus on Afghan women and girls and on the need to protect the progress made so far in the field of the reaffirmation and promotion of their rights, and will also hold several bilateral meetings with the Heads of United Nations Agencies and Offices.
