New meeting of the Disputed Minors Task Force at the Farnesina

The Directorate General for Italians Abroad presided over a new meeting of the Disputed Minors Task Force at the Farnesina today. The meeting was attended as usual by senior officials from the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Justice and focused on events concerning minors involved in the conflict in Ukraine and reviewed new cases opened in 2022.

In the first nine months of 2022 alone, the Farnesina recorded 75 new cases (compared to 49 in the same period of 2021) of which 42 in Europe alone, 21 in the Americas, 7 in the Mediterranean and Middle East, 4 in Asia and Oceania and one in Africa.
