Following the violent earthquake that struck Southern Turkey and Northern Syria at 4:17 a.m. this night, the Crisis Unit of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has contacted the Italian citizens present in the country and is acting in close connection with the Italian embassies and consulates in the area to verify the conditions of the Italian communities in the affected areas. At the moment, there are no reports of injuries or deaths among Italians.
All Italians present for any reason in the affected areas, whether temporarily or not, are invited to register on the “Dove siamo nel mondo” website, download the “Unità di Crisi” APP for mobile phones, and turn on GPS.
