A two-day training programme organised by the Secretariat of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) opens today at the seat of the Court of Milan and the Italian Division of the UPC.
Professional judges and administrative staff of the entire UPC system in its various branches (Court of Appeal, Central Division, local and regional divisions) from the 17 European member states will take part in the training programme.
As underlined by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, “today’s event is an important recognition of the work done by the Italian Government just a few months after the launch of the Unified Patent Court”, which, it is recalled, is the new European patent court system that came into operation on 1 July.
The Deputy Prime Minister also added that “the opening of the training programme is an important signal also for Milan, which hosts the Italian division of the UPC and which is preparing to host the UPC Central Division branch soon”.
