Farnesina, Undersecretary Tripodi in Abu Dhabi meets her French counterpart and Emirates’ Ministers in Abu Dhabi

During the World Trade Organisation’s Ministerial Meeting in Abu Dhabi, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, met the French Minister of Trade, Frank Riester, with whom she discussed the economic issues on the agenda of the WTO Ministerial Meeting and illustrated the priorities of the Italian G7 Presidency.

Undersecretary Tripodi met with the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Noura Al Kaabi, with whom she delved into the close cooperation between Italy and the UAE. Said cooperation is based on excellent economic and trade relations; deep cultural exchanges; convergence on important international dossiers, and the relaunch of bilateral relations, following the visits of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani.

The Undersecretary also had a fruitful conversation with Thani Al Zeyoudi, Emirates’ Minister of State for International Trade and President-in-office of the WTO Ministerial Meeting, who was congratulated on the organisation of the Conference, which bears witness to the Emirates’ growing role in international trade and satisfaction at the intensity of trade relations with Italy. Last year Italy’s exports exceeded 6 billion euros and this confirms the solidity and great potential of economic relations between the two countries.
